The moment you give an AI agent: (like OpenClaw)
- Access to email
- API keys
- Database connectors
- File system access
- Shell access
- CRM read permissions
- Financial systems access
- Chat inputs from end users or other systems
… you’ve created a dynamic execution engine that processes and ‘interprets’ external data as instructions.
That’s not just automation.
That’s a programmable attack surface.
Traditional software was designed from the ground up to be secure. AI is inherently insecure, and therefore must be secured across all potential attack vectors.
This is done with traditional software wrappers and filters.

WATCH THE HYPE! Every manufacturer is touting OpenClaw or Claw like systems, and pushing out ‘still experimental’ software mere WEEKS after the ‘popularity’ hit of OpenClaw…
This is. in my opinion, purely a commercial push trying to take advantage of the ‘popularity’ and demand, without fully addressing the real security and privacy issues that will be introduced by ‘letting loose the lobsters’…!
I don’t think any AI company is taking security seriously at all, as it doesn’t matter to them if what they push destroys your data, outputs false information or destroys you business. They are legally protected…
Do not deploy or integrate Agentic Controllers like OpenClaw or similar AI into your business unless you fully understand ALL THE RISKS…
“Restoring from backups” is not a viable option! There are safer ways to integrate AI into business processes…
